OK, it a few weeks is Fathers Day, an my husband keeps sending me the sales at "Levenger", I feel bad due to lack of funds have you ever gone to their webpage?
It has a Quote of the Week, helpful ways to organize and great furniture. I really want the Stackable Lateral Files and the Scotter Desk, not that we have room for anything else in our house but always nice to dream.
For my husband, even though I can not afford anything this "Fathers Day" my thoughts are with you an our trip out to Chicago in the Fall, we will stop an buy you something.
If you have been in a closet or under a rock and never heard of Levenger, I recommend for anyone who likes great stuff to organize or start your own home office to visit a store near you or shop on line.

I was reading my hometown paper The New London Day today, an the first article that caught my eye was:
Norwich reaches buyout deal with ZarnetskeSeventeen months of tensions, cold shoulders and flare-ups ended late Monday night after a two-hour, closed-door session when the City Council and City Manager Robert Zarnetske reached a buyout agreement that paid Zarnetske to leave his position as soon as the contract is signed.
Now the City of Norwich, CT is looking for a City Manager, according to the Article they have been for many months and at first in secret. Now, I grew up in Norwich, my Uncle was on the City Council an so was my Stepfather for many years. I love Norwich, which is funny for me to say since when I was 12 years old my first thought was always to get out of this town. Now, that I have lived many places, when people ask me where I am from Mystic comes out. Why? Because it just has such a good sound to it don't you think?
I would love to become the City Manager of Norwich, except I do not have the education, I have the ability, I am a quick study an know to surround myself with people that can contribute to the whole picture. I know Norwich can be great again, as it was in the early 1900's, before we left CT, we were living in Norwich and could see all the progress. The Mashutuckets built the new building for offices, a restaurant an such. There was 3 new restaurants right downtown, the New Otis Libary which is compelete now, an the Wauregan Hotel is all new. I have pictures of the Town of Norwich in its heyday. It would be nice to help it grow and prosper. I realize I would never get the chance due to my lack of a college degree but it always nice to dream about. On how you would improve your hometown. My husband an I have been searching for our own Starrs Hollow and part of me believes it is back in CT, in order to get back there, we would have to be offered some incredible opportunity.
How would you improve your town?

I am a bit slow today, I didn't watch any news all weekend. Bad I know, but sometimes it gets to be too much. So, as usually in the morning I go on to the Fox News web page, CNN and MSNBC just to see every one's different views.
What caught or did not catch my eye was on Fox no real mention of the Democratic Debate that took place in New Hampshire, Here is what CNN said on their front page of their web page.
"Eight presidential candidates fought to make their points during a two-hour debate in New Hampshire Sunday. Former Sen. John Edwards blasted Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama over their handling of a recent war spending bill. Clinton answered the charge and added, "The differences between us are minor. The differences between us and the Republicans are major."
"Sen. John Edwards blasted Clinton and Obama for not taking the lead on a recent war spending bill. Edwards voted for the October 2002 resolution that authorized the invasion of Iraq, but now calls that vote a mistake." Quite Interesting?
Did you see the foiled attack at JFK airport? Doesn't there seem to be quite a few foiled attacks lately? I am not judging, I am happy that they are foiled but it scares the s*** out of me. When President Bush spoke at the graduation at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. He mentioned that 9/11 is not the last attack we will see on American soil. (This is not a quote).
What scares you most, pulling out of the war and seeing a war pop up here on American Soil from terrorist who we have no idea what is going on in their heads? If it wasn't for the two men who came forward on both of these foiled attempts what would of happened? Believe me, I hate to be in a war and see all these americans dying, but I am more afraid of what is out there if we pull out. As, I stated earlier today, I remember the images of the Vietnam war on TV as a child and the fall of Saigon, is this the same kind of war?
Who is to say what is right or wrong? I am reading a book called, " Triangle of Death" granted when this book begins I was not born, but I never knew what had happened in Vietnam to cause the war. I never knew the French had control of Vietnam from 1860-1940's, an were not nice.
"The french force fed them Catholicism an starved them when they failed to meet production quotas. When workers got sick in the cement an the textile factories, itw as deemed more cost effective to just let them die without medical attention an replace them with fresh workers. "
It got worse because being the french in 1940 they surrended to the Nazi's. Which of course, was another reign of terror. Then the Americans helped put in place Ngo Dinh Diem. Who with his brother Ngo Dinh Nhu took the American Support and Money we kept throwing at them an were even worse than the French an the Nazi's. Even when the US finally realized what was happening, they snubbed us by doing exactly what they wanted and felt they did not have to listen to the US, even though it was our money.
This book is just one of them that is now telling the truth well over 40 years later, is that what is going to happen with this war? In 2047 people would have forgotten, an then it will come out the truth? I am not saying the Democrats or the Republicans are spewing the truth, but it something I would like to know. Just something to think about when you are deciding who to vote for in the next election, by the way, the president in 1960 was JFK, if you didn't know and Diem and Nhu were assasinated November 1963 and three weeks later so was JFK, is that not interesting?

My weekend this week was not good. It was rainy all day on Sunday which we do need down here in North Carolina, but on Saturday I stayed in the house all day wallowing so I did nothing but eat, drink and sleep all weekend. We had no funds so I could not even go for a drive to get out of the house, I can tell you by 6pm on Sunday, I was going stir crazy!!!
I tried not to show it to my husband, he is trying so hard to make our situation better, but I am a horrible actress, which would explain why when I was a theatre major, I liked being behind the scenes more. I hope everyone else had a better weekend. Did anyone see the Democratic Debate in New Hampshire? Shocker, all the problems in the world are President Bush's according to Hillary Clinton as if her husband never did anything wrong politically when he was the President. Just a statement...
I was watching the History Channel an they were showing things I remember as a child in the 1970's. 3-mile Island in PA, the fall of Saigon in April 1975, Kent State the first gay march in April 1970, Roe Vs. Wade, and of course Watergate, all put to music of the time. I was just a child during the 1970, but I remember it vividly, especially the Fall of Saigon an the images on the TV of those poor people trying to get on the helicopters. These things will stay with me my whole life, just like 9/11 will stick with me. Are we any better than were in the 1970's ? Just a question for people to ask themselves.

My natural hair color is dark brown, in the last few years, I have added blonde highlights, red highlights even purple highlights. In December I went "red" all over and then in March Red with blonde highlights. I loved being so bright that is how I felt, well due to some money of lack of it this week, I had to cancel my hair appointment. So, I got a box of die and went back to my dark brown hair, and I hate it beyond belief.
Everytime, I look in the mirror I do not feel pretty, even my less 20lbs on my frame not making me feel any better. How shallow am I? Now, of course, I do not want to go to my class reunion that I have been planning on attending for awhile as you know. I will have a little extra money in two weeks so I may just get a better style and not a color, but you never know what I will do to my hair. My sister "G" has had the same haircolor and style for about 15 years now, on her though it looks good, me on the other hand love to mix it up. I have had my hair, long, curly, short, bobbed, layered, red, black, light brown with blonde almost anything you can think of.
You may ask why do women do this? Sit in a chair for about 3 hours while someone fixes your hair to look better, an believe me it is a long boring process. My recent hairdresser likes to talk and I am not good with the small talk so I can not even enjoy that for 3 hours, I can read a book while I have foil on my hair, or under the hairdryer. My favorite thing to do in the beauty salon for me is to listen to other people's conversations, I love to hear their lives. It takes me away from my own problems or boredom. For me coloring my hair besides the experience at the salon it is how I feel about myself. I used to have some great hairdressers over the year, I used to love to go in and say do whatever you want, you know what looks good on me. I do not have the bond with this hairdresser, an part of me does not believe I ever will.
The other thing is when you feel bad about anything in your life, you go an transform your look, an all of a sudden you feel as if you are a 'new' person, not that I am but just a little hair cut makes me feel as if I am a brand new person. How bad does that sound? Right now as I write this, I have curlers in my hair trying to make it look better and not so dark as if this is going to help. I know I am wallowing, I didn't even leave the house all day not even to go to the pool.
We will see how my hair color is in two weeks and if I need to go in for a new look. If the dark holds maybe I will just splurge on highlights around the face, an I will go to my reunion.

You, will be happy to know at no surprise we lost. My team had some good words but our team lost, the other team was getting points of 20 or more, our highest was 15 points. It was alot of fun, maybe if I hadn't had two drinks before hand I might of done better, but I doubt it.
Anyone who reads my post's know I am a really bad speller....
Did anyone see the news about Raleigh, NC? There is a new law that goes into play on Monday, June 4, what is it you ask? It is on any property you can only have 3 American Flags up, no more.. If you have more than 3 it is a $500 fine per day per flag are you kidding me? Drive around an see how many business have alot of flags up to show their support for the troops and their patriotism, who is behind this? Someone who is not American? Then leave our country. I find it appalling that they can actually say, you are only allowed 3 flags, write to your congressman before it gets past North Carolina..

I know this is the 2nd post today, but I had to mention it. Fathers Day is approaching June 17, 2007. Now, my husband who is not a father (yet), has emailed me the webpage for the Levenger store. Which of course, has some wonderful items like the the Bomber Jacket Messenger, the Infinity Journal an my personal favorite Briefolio.
So, please look at the Levenger Webpage for your buying needs for Fathers Day Gifts, not just your normal Tie. Soon, I will be buying my husband something special from Levenger, but for now he is just dreaming. Especially, when we can visit a store again, which should be around the Fall when we go visit his family out in Chicago. My favorite which I mentioned before is the one in Water Place Tower, but I see there is one in Memphis and Virginia, we might have to take a ride soon to Virginia.

On the Fox News webpage, today I saw two very interesting stories. The first was about Adam Yehiye Gadahn, who is working with Al Qaeda warning the US to pull out or there will be worse attacks then 9/11 or Virginia Tech. What I find interesting and very disturbing is this man was born Adam Pearlman in California. He is being charged with Treason against the US government the first time since 1952.
He has been arrested for attacking his mentor in the Muslim culture because he felt he was too friendly with the Jews and did not wear the approiate dress, HELLO you were born Jewish an a American. Why go against your birth country, what is so great about Al Qaeda? I have nothing against Muslims if that is what you believe but to turn against everything? Very confused..
The 2nd story was an interview with Brian Morgenstern who was the man who turned in the Six Muslims who were planning on attacking Fort Dix. He felt he had to come forward for his family an for the US, he believes in his country and truly believes everyone needs to step forward an prevent these attacks. He is a young man who did the right thing, an then you hear of another young man who has decided that as Americans we are all wrong. I commend Brian Morgenstern for doing the right thing. What would you do? I would like to think I would do the right thing but you have no idea how you would react until it thrown at you. I am just putting this out to the universe.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day. Well it is now 4 weeks until my class reunion. I have lost a total of 20lbs. at this time, I am trying for at least 10 more by the reunion, but am taking it in stride an it is what it is. Yesterday, I worked out 45 minutes cardio then went up to the pool and swam laps for awhile.
This morning I did 20 minutes cardio because I got up late for work. I will either do another tape when I get home tonight or swim depending on what time I get home. I have a group for dinner tonight so I have to stay a little while for that. I have been eating 6x a day, which is so much for me, but it actually is working by losing weight, so I am very happy. We are going out to dinner with our friends on Sunday night, we have not seen them in awhile an we are going to a place called, "Melting Pot" we have never been there, but realize it is a Fondue place, so we are so excited, we love Fondue.
I am very happy we are not moving for awhile, the husband is still looking for a better position but at least for the next month we are pretty settled. Yesterday, I called all my friends and family to see what their plans were for the holiday. Of Course, Thomas was having a blow out with a band an about 1, 000 people coming through his yard and house. He is definitely, never one to have a quiet party. I remember some of our blow outs when we lived together. This time though I was not jealous that I wasn't there. I laid by the pool, worked on my tan read two more books and just enjoyed the quiet. Gosh, I am so old. Believe me, sometimes I want to go to a big party, but yesterday was not one of them. Claudette was working of course, a double shift at "Mystic Pizza" for all the tourists in town. Mystic I am sure was jumping the beginning of the Summer Season. I do miss Mystic, but for now Winston-Salem is my home.
This week, I am in a Scrabble Contest (Stop Laughing), they could not find the final partner. I have explained how bad I am but they needed 1 more person. We will see how they feel after Thursday night. Have a great day.

This weekend, we drove on Saturday night to Morgantown, WV. In order for the husband to have a job interview at 10am at the resort that is thinking of hiring him. His interview again took 3.5 hours. I hung out in the room until noon then took myself on a job to see the area an apartments if he is offered the position. NO WAY!!!
Luckily, after seeing the property he realizes that the Resort needs so much work. First it needs atleast 5 million dollars in the cosmetics of the resort, the condo we stayed in would be nice if the wallpaper wasn't coming down, there was hair in the bathroom tub (not mine) all the windows need to be replaced an some new colors an bedding. For people that work there, on a Sunday of a weekend you had the GM, Assistant GM, Director of Catering all working because of 4 functions. Also, because the HR director who was suppose to be Manager on Duty called in sick. They obviously, do not have good Banquet Managers/Captains can not run functions. I know the GM is only 3 weeks there, I liked and respected him alot, but he has his work cut out for him.
My husband likes a challenge but this is huge in an area we both did not love. The best part of the area was the Lake, but it is still not the ocean. So, we are staying put for the moment and I am very happy about that. I have really begun to enjoy Winston Salem, we have made some friends, and I was looking forward to the summer here. We had planned on being here 2 years before moving again, saving money etc... I am not saying if the right opportunity was not offered we would not seriously think about it.
I have decided not to dream of any particular area anymore and take what life offers, this is an adventure and we will continue to grow an learn more about the United States and what feels right for both of us.

I read Fox News on line at least 3 or 4 x a day, when I should be working but my work is boring to me so a surf the internet. I do realize that is wrong since I am getting paid to actually do some work, I play solitaire on line too but that is another discussion.
Some points I saw on Fox in the last day or so:: AMY FISHER AN JOEY BUTUFFUCO are now moving in together, at least his 2nd wife Evanka did not get shot in the head. Did you see Mary Jo who is back to using her maiden name on Larry King Live? I think she has endured so much from this man an should be angry. I feel bad for his kids, so obviously 15 years ago when he was denying anything between him an Amy Fisher he lied, what no charges for sexual assault of a minor or is there a time limit on that?
President Bush was in New London, CT giving a speech at the Coast Guard Academy to the graduates. I was on the New London Day this morning an yes they printed his speech, they also showed pictures of the protestors especially the fact that the graduates had to walk right through them to get to the graduation. At about 1pm I went back on the sight then they had the people in support of President Bush, why didn't you print both in the beginning of the day? Most likely, because the New London day likes to show President Bush and all republicans in a bad light. Did you notice last week no mention of the Republican Debate in South Carolina but a day after the Democratic one two weeks prior all over the front page. HMM!! What do we think of bad coverage or a bias paper?
Paris Hilton has found religion on her way to jail, isn't that suppose to happen once she goes in or is she trying to prove, she shouldn't have to go because she has found God?
Jordan Sparks won American Idol and the Ice Skater won Dancing with the Stars. It is amazing what you can find out on the Fox News Station webpage, of course they have all the coverage of the war and the crimes committed across the country. I like Fox news, I respect them, sometimes I can not believe what seems so important to them. Right now, it is the Chicago bank robbery, now obviously these robbers watch TV they knew when to hit, an how not to leave any clues an even wore bullet proof vests by the way where to you buy those? WalMart?
You would think when you sell one wouldn't you be a bit suspious? Or is it normal to sell one the whole gun issue I realize can be bought out of the back of someones car, but the Vest, that is scary that now criminals know how to protect themselves, I gues that means now Cops need to learn to shoot for the head right?
Jealousy - Meaning Envy, Resentment etc. My jealousy is not what someone has or who they are it is the fact that I could not be there for someone I care about.
On Monday, was my good friend Thomas's birthday, and he was going to Anthony J's in Mystic one of my favorite places to go out to eat in Mystic. He was going with friends of his from work, I was happy for him but so very jealous that is wasn't me taking him out and celebrating another year with him. I am huge on Birthday's. One year, I took Thomas to Savannah Georgia for his birthday weekend. We had so much fun!! It started on the plane he is afraid of heights and hates to fly, so we did the natural thing we had some drinks, we were a bit obnoxious that even the flight attendant shoved bottles of booze at us to shut us up!! Now a days, that would not happen they will not even let you on the plane if you are bit loud, rude and a bit drunk.
Another year, when we lived together we had a blow out of a party at our house for his birthday, or it could of been mine or both to celebrate. I miss Thomas, he and I went through alot together but always knew we would be in each others lives. Even when he moved to Austin, TX for a year, I went an visited him for a week while he was there. While he was away I met my husband so when he came back sometimes it felt like a tuck of war between him and my husband. In the end it worked out, we would hang out an still have a good time an talk. At Christmas time when we were home in CT. I saw Thomas an we played games, drank laughed and I didn't want it to end but the trip never seems long enough.
So my jealousy is I live so far from my friends an family an wish I could be there for every milestone. Do not get me wrong, we made the right decision for us at the time to move south, but every once in awhile I wish we were still close to everyone I love an miss terribly. I am sure Thomas had a wonderful birthday at Anthony J's an hopefully had a Martini for me...

Well, it is only 5 weeks until my class reunion. I still can not believe I have been out of high school for 25 years. I can still remember all the highs and lows of that time as if they were just yesterday. When I had friends then I didn't because I either did something or said something to push them away. See even today, I blame myself and not my hormones raging or the fact some of the girls in my circle were a bit b*****.
Well, still working out like crazy, I did get on the scale this morning down 2 more lbs. which makes my grand total 16lbs lost. Not alot by the standards of how much I need to lose, but it is ok, I am toning up, my clothes fit better and I bought my dress for the reunion the other day an it is a smaller dress size than what I have been in over 18 months. YEAH!! Of course, now I need shoes and a purse, my husband thought it was just a dress I don't think so...
I have started watching the Biggest Loser on Style network, granted the one I am watching is the 2nd season but it is still amazing to see how far they have all come from the first day. I would love to go on the show, but there is no way I could have 3 months off from my job, granted I may not make it the whole 3 months but that would be my goal if I got on the show. I think these people are wonderful an I give them complete credit for keeping it up even when they get home. Definitely, an inspirational show if you have been overweight more so than all the infommericals on TV today, get a pill "SLIM QUICK", or "TRIM SPA", an lose weight. They are doing it the old fashion way, not through a pill but diet and exercise.
Ironically, my sisters have been preaching me this for about 10 years, they are both into working out an feeling an looking better. I realize if I miss one day I feel guilty and have to do twice as much the next day, never would I have thought it possible. If you keep on a routine for two weeks, it becomes habit. I admit those first two weeks were really tough for me. Even now, I should be doing 45 minutes of Cardio but I want to sleep a little later so I have been doing 20 minutes, if I had a 30 minute tape it would be perfect.
For my class reunion I am going alone, so all I really want to do is go in an feel good in my own skin an not as if I am 17 years old an being judged by these people again. The fact my husband is not coming I am sure will be talked about, he knows no one and would not enjoy himself so why make him come to it. He doesn't even attend his own High School reunion, I would not subject him to mine.

Well, my husband received a call today from a place in West Virginia for a Wedding Specialist postion. When we had decided to move out of CT the first place we were looking was West Virginia, but when we drove there, not impressed. The place we stayed was outdated around 1973, and there did not seem to be alot around.
Now, the place looking to hire is the same place we stayed 2 1/2 years ago but has gone through a $1 million dollar renovation an I belive new owners. Also, there is alot to do there, and the water is right there, the mountains, it is beautiful. We did find a great dockside restaurant we enjoyed very much when we were there and a Spa. So of course, I am thinking we were either too hasty in our decision an bad exploring or we were correct and this could be a huge mistake. I do figure though if they are willing to relocate us, and it is near water which I have come to realize in the 2 years here in North Carolina I need water, what do we really have to lose? The husband seems flattered, which he should. I had applied to this company myself had an interview in Charlotte an was not hired. Then I applied for him in Greensboro and they called him for West Virginia instead.
We have gotten used to moving around in the last few years, I still would like to settle down and be in Key West, but sometimes life takes us on different routes. Part of me always thinks I will get back to Connecticut but the more I read about its prices going up, taxes going up and people moving out of Connecticut I think we made a good decision even though it does not feel that way when I miss my family an friends like crazy. I am going home for 48 hours at the end of the month an I am so very happy about it, even though it is such a short time. I keep working out everyday and working to be tanned so I at least look good or at least halfway decent at my class reunion.

Good Morning Readers, as if... Yesterday, I cried at work, and then I realized it was not the first time. I believe since the first time I started working in the Hotel/Restaurant business in 1984 in Farmington CT I have cried over a dozen times. Never in front of clients (that I can remember) but definately behind the scenes. I am not a cryer, I cry when I get frustrated, because I can not hit so not ladylike besides what am I going to hit?
Why do you ask do I cry? The reason definately vary but the theme running through is clients have no respect for my position or basically anyone in my field. It is as if we are not really working as if they are right? My husband an I have decided to write a book (or shortstory) on experiences we have had in all the years we have both been in the business for myself it has been well over 20 years, for him about 12 years. He trained in the restaurant business in New Orleans, could he have been in better hands to learn this trade? Not really, it definately has some of the most innovative, fresh restaurants in the world.
New Orleans expects the best in the field, and if they can not find them, they will train why doesn't everyone feel that way? So, if you have any stories please share them, I would love to hear what other people think.

I do not watch American Idol, I watch the first shows to laugh at the people who try out and should not even try, and I usually watch the finale. This year, I heard all about Sanjaya an still did not want to watch it, but last night there was nothing on, so I flipped over to it. I had seen Melinda Doolittle at the try outs and she was amazing, so when it came down to her, Jordan and Blake, I thought like the rest of the world she would be in the final two.
So, I was amazed as was Paula, Randy and Simon (did you see his face) when the public had kept Blake over her. I think all three were talented, but Melinda was so much better than Blake by a long shot. Now, I am hoping Jordan can go all the way, she is only "17" an what a voice on her. I know Melinda will have a huge career even without being Season 6's winner. Have you seen Kelly Clarkson's latest video she has definately broken out of the American Idol pop culture.
Chris Doherty last season's prediction who was voted off May 10, 2006 has been on the top of the charts, and of course Clay Aiken has so many albums out there, an is doing amazing an these two didn't win, and let us not forget Jennifer Hudson who was voted off, got an Oscar this year for her performance an amazing voice for "Dreamgirls". So, even though I am sure Melinda is upset right now, she is a strong woman an look at the successes from the people who did not win. Go for it Melinda I look forward to your next step.
Did you see Elliott Yamin last night? Now, he has hair, he did a great job it must feel great to perform in front of the judges who are now not judging you but just enjoying. I may never be a full American Idol fan but I admit I will watch the finale.

Last night was the end of my "Gilmore Girls", it was a great way to end the show. I did cry some tears, especially when Richard Gilmore praised his daughter and when Loreali admitted that she would continue Friday night dinners. I have gotten to love Starrs Hollow and the actors who did some amazing work.
Richard an Emily Gilmore were incredible to watch and when they were on screen you never knew what was going to happen. Emily is a mother who had lost her daughter for keeping her to close, that she didn't want to lose her granddaughter so in the first season she felt the only way to keep them close was making them live up to their obligations. You borrow money I get Friday night dinners, one of my favorite episodes is with Marion Ross as Richard's mother, who can not stand Emily and is down right rude to her at every turn. It was fun to watch Emily squirm a little before getting her own revenge in a later episode in the 2nd season.
Of course, my favorite Emily moment is when she told Logan's mother off, classic WASP!! Sense, I am a WASP I compeletly loved that moment.
Kirk (Sean Gunn) was so much fun, he could not have been more bizarre, my favorite of him was when he was trying to buy the house Luke wanted, an Luke asked where he got the money? His response was classic, I have worked 50 jobs all these years, live at home so all I do is save.. Could he have been anymore WIERD, and he even had a girlfriend Lulu which was strange in its own way.
The end was great, Luke and Loreali finally getting back together which we knew from the very first scene of the show they should be together. My only disappointment this season was Luke's daughter April she was great..
I will miss my Tuesday's night watching Gilmore Girls but I have already acquired the First Season on DVD and will be getting the 2nd season in a few weeks, until I have them all, so I can always go back to Starrs Hollow whenever I need to feel better. They did the Show justice by having a perfect ending. Good bye Starrs Hollow I will miss you.

This weekend was a week in between pay days, I can not really get used to getting paid every two weeks. No way can I imagine getting paid on a monthly basis. The husband and I had the weekend together, it was his Saturday off. We hung out in the morning on Saturday then we went to the bookstore an turned in some books, we got a credit an cash.. Now, being we are on 10 days with no money an actually are carpooling to work to save on gas. He has been at work 90 minutes early everyday because I work at 8am and he does not work until 9am an I drop him off between 730am an 745am every day. Having even a little cash is dangerous, we got a little more gas an being that is it up to $2.93 when we got some, an now is $3.02, I do mean very little.
Instead we used the credit bought some books went home and sat by the pool, an read and hung out, we did get a $3.00 bottle of white wine, which worked for me very well. Had a great dinner, an on Sunday, I finished my book from Sat. realized it is a two parter went back to the bookstore bought more books, then we treated ourselves to Ice Cream cones. It was a great weekend. We just hung out, talked, laughed and read, I actually did not watch as much TV as I usually do. I did drag him to "Marshall's" only for a bit to look at dresses for my class reunion. I found (3) I love and will go back this week to try on and see if they still have Lay away, I wonder if people still do that.
Of course, the dress I want is $50.00 and the shoes are $40.00, so Layaway would work good for me. I really do enjoy just hanging out with my husband and makes me appreciate it when we do go out for a treat, even an Ice Cream cone was great, it got us out of the house, and it made me feel on top of the world. We have downsized out of necessity but also because in 18 months we are planning on making our final move to Key West, FL. For 18 months we can be careful with our money, we have for these last 6 months what is the difference?
I know I watch way too much TV when we have no money, but this weekend didn't feel like I needed to lose myself it felt like I should stop being so selfish an realize all we have that has nothing to do with possessions or money it is about loving someone else.

I want to acknowledge that I was wrong the last two weeks has been new Ghost Whisperer and from the websight, it looks like I missed quite the season finale. I will watch the next one, an wait for summer reruns. I am over the fact my Gilmore Girls will not be back, maybe there will be another good show put into the time slot there is always "hope"..
What is up with the weather lately? Tornadoes in the midwest, wild fires all over, flooding? It is nuts, no I do not think it is the end of the world but it does seem a bit strange or does it? We were talking at lunch how when we were little, I know what the statement makes people think of their parents/grandparents talking about hard ships we could never imagine.
I was remembering the 1978 blizzard, Hurricane Gloria 1984 I believe are the two worst storms I have ever experienced in my life, the Blizzard I was "13" years old and Hurricane Gloria I was in college, long time for no real major storm. I now live in North Carolina so alot of the people I work with remember Hurricane Hugo as the worst storm. Which when I remember seeing the images on TV, I thought it looked horrible. Or that Earthquake out in California the opening day of the World Series, you would call it a subway series, because it was Oakland A's and the SF Giants against each other. None, of us will forget Hurricane Katrina and the devastation in New Orleans those images were very painful. Even close to 2 years later, it is so very sad what happened to the city and people.
I have never seen or felt an earthquake, or a Tornado in my life, those scare me more than a blizzard or Hurricane, maybe if I had lived through Hugo or Katrina I would feel different. It seems storms are becoming more fierce and more frequent then when I was a kid growing up in New England. Am I just imagining it?

A few weeks ago, I wrote that we had saved the "Gilmore Girls" for one more season, well as it turns out next week May 15, 2007 marks the end of the show. It has been 7 great seasons but the stars, Lauren Graham and Alexis have decided it is enough for them. I don't know if it was lack of money or the fact both ladies have been doing more movies and may want to move on with their careers.
It is upsetting to me, but very understandable, so the next two shows hopefully, will make all the storylines come together, I hate it when shows go off without tying up all the lose ends. I do not know what I will watch now on Tuesday nights. Monday and Tuesdays have become my favorite night for Television. My other night is Fridays, I love Ghost Whisperer but have not had a new episode in almost 3 weeks and of course Numbers. There isn't even a Reality Show I love right now, I will watch Work out which has its last episode for season two this week, but Shear Gensis could not get into, I don't care who wins as long as it is not Tyson.
In the summer, I get into Project Runway or Top Chef, an Rock Star, but I do not think this summer there will be a Rock Star show, as I read on one of the blogs a few weeks ago, Rock Star, Supernova is restructing and changing their names, basically, it means the original members a few have jumped ship. Besides, who wants to work with Lucas Rossi, a want a be an not even half as talented as Dilhana, it is for the best she didn't win.
So, Stars Hollow is coming to a close, hopefully, it will always be in your heart. I am still looking for my own Stars Hollow, the characters were wonderful. I have season 1 on Video, am on the look out for Season 2. As we say good by to Gilmore Girls, try to remeber how much fun it was while it lasted.
