REALITY CHECK:
The Hills: Yes, they are back, and Whitney is moving on from Teen Vogue, good for her. I do not trust, Spencer's sister when it comes to Lauren but it will be interesting to watch what happens there, and Heidi (poor Heidi) now wants to pick up her friendships after her and Spencer are apart for awhile ( due to we know they are still together, that horrible video is an example).... BRODY? What are you doing?
Rock of Love 2: Megan (beauty and geek chick) was sent home, and it looked like she had no idea what he said after he basically dismissed her, she was only there for the fame of being on TV. My prediction for final two Daisy and Ambre, Daisy is a big mess, but she looks like a rock chick. It was nice to see Heather back, getting those girls drunk was just fun....Poor Jessica can not handle her booze...
Real Housewives of NY: I was not surprised that Luann and Alex got along so well, they are both so pretentious why not bond? I really am liking Jill she seems like a nice person, who enjoys helping people. I never realized how society is in NY, it takes years to get into a good private school for your child? What is that? Bethenny, has to get a clue, why rush your relationship because your friend told you, that you need to? Ramona, your daughter is amazing, why keep pushing her?
Workout Season 3: It was only the preview, but the 3 newbies look like they are going to be fun to watch especially the girl wild child, there will definately be sparks between her and the last two seasons wild child... Where is Zen? Begins April 15 YEAH!!
Big Brother 9: This was great, Evil Dick came back in the house, Joshuah I am afraid you are not the incarnation of Evil Dick, more like Dr. Will Scheming beyond belief, Evil Dick was always up front, I think that title this season goes to James. HOw awful to rub it in Chelsie's face that she is going home this week? If it wasn't for her, you would not be back in the house. I like Chelsie so I feel bad for it, to have made her alliance with James and it backfired. Personally, next week I would like to see Sheila and Natalie on the block and then backdoor Adam. Adam is a idiot, he is listening to Natalie way too much...Ryan and Joshuh I love their secret alliance, at this point I would love the final two to be Ryan and Sharon. Keep watching to see who gets HOH this week.

Spring is coming !! I am so excited, it has been a long winter up here in Maine, and I can not wait for Spring and Summer when everything is open. Last night, after work my husband and I went to Bath, ME to the new Irish Pub and met some of my co-workers.
I was embarrassed that two of them noticed my flirting with my boss, I have a little crush, we are both married and I would never do anything and neither would he, we just like to flirt. He is a lot like my husband he is fun, smart and likes to flirt, when we go to functions, I see women flirting with my husband and he back at them, I never worry because it is harmless. I am now very aware, and I don't want anyone to be uncomfortable.
One my co-workers mentioned that my direct boss, also has a crush on him and that is why whenever he and I are talking she comes in,I thought I was just being paranoid. Now, I wonder how long this job is going to last, and if I stepped over a line. Or am I just being weird because someone called me out on it.
Throughout my career, I have had little crushes, nothing has ever happened even when I was single, it was just fun and light. When does flirting become harmful to the work environment? When I was high school I was voted, "Class Flirt" and so was my husband. Over the years, I will flirt my way out of almost anything, when I was 18 and got arrested for underage drinking in a bar ( drinking age was 19), I tried to flirt my way out of the arrest. My friend, was like if she gets off she better bring me along with her. I didn't get off, but did get a date out of it. So, it was worth it I guess. Sometimes, we flirt for silly things, like a cookie from the lunch person who thinks your sweet, or to get a free drink at a bar, even though nothing will happen you give the bartender alittle attention and he thinks he has a chance.
Do you flirt for things? Or is flirting outdated? To be honest, my favorite flirting is to my husband, he flirts right back and when we are out together, people think we are silly and way to loving. I think it keeps our love alive in our relationship.

This is the police blotter in the New London Day. This is not the first person, and will not be the last person on Route 32 who is hurt. Why is Montville or Norwich or even the Mohegan Sun building a walk way for people? Route 32 is a busy stretch of road, and belive me some people slow down and others don't, why is it people are getting hurt going to/from work? I feel so bad for these people. HELP THEM!!
Montville — Police noted several risk factors at play when a car struck a person Wednesday evening. Police said Hua Ren Zou, 56, of New York City was crossing Sandy Desert Road near Route 32 and was hit by 2004 Chevrolet Malibu.
The victim was taken to The William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich for treatment for what police said were minor injuries.
Police reported that the incident occurred on a rainy night, under limited lighting to a victim dressed all in black contributed. No charges were filed.

My husband's 2nd favorite store besides "Levenger" is Cabela's, in 2005 when we were driving up and down the East Coast to find a place to settle, when we were in PA, we had to stop at Cabela's even though we were not buying.
Myself being born and raised in New England had never heard of Cabela's to me it was and is LL Bean country. He was raised in Illnois and loved Cabela's at the outdoor store to visit. Now, we live only 30 minutes from LL Bean in Freeport, and now Cabela's is coming to Maine it will be and interesting year to see what happens.
After all LL Bean is a Maine staple company, Freeport grew up around LL Bean.
Portland Register reports:
"Cabela fishing and outdoor gear on May 15, the company announced today.
Cabela's said it expects millions of visitors to stop by the store in the first year of operation.
The 125,000-square-foot store is on Haigis Parkway at exit 42 of the Maine Turnpike. It will include hundreds of animals in dioramas, including an African scene, a "Conservation Mountain" with running waterfalls and a stream, a trout pond and stuffed wild game, a 10,700-gallon aquarium stocked with freshwater fish, a laser shooting gallery, gun library, restaurant, general store, fly-fishing, bargain section and gift shop.
Cabela's is headquartered is Nebraska. The Scarborough store is its first in the state.

Reality Check:
Beauty and the Geek: I do not really like this one this season, due to it is beauty vs. geeks, and the girls are learning nothing. I am so glad Amber is gone, could you be anymore obnoxious, " I have lived with beauty my whole life, me." Get over yourself, and you really will be nothing special. I was so glad the boys won the entertainment competetion without the girls, they worked really hard YEAH!!!
Big Brother 9 : Matt screwed himself and now on the block!! YEAH! I want Ryan to stay and want Matt out, then maybe Natalie can start playing her game, it worked for Ryan and Jenn to leave the house, so now he does not have to worry about his actions, but he has been the most honest player in the game. Quite the upset, I have never seen a HOH, who won POV and used it to change who was on the block, good for you James, this season is getting better each time. When is Jonhah going to explode on someone again, worth watching that.
Real Housewives NY: Ramona is awful, why didn't you invite Jill the party would of been more fun. Fashion week in NY, how exciting is that? Luann is not really a true friend she does it to stay busy, but 'does not want to get involved in the inner fights', a real friend listens and gives advise not sit back and listen with no imput. Get over yourself you are born and raised in CT just like me, you got lucky and married a Count, does not make you any better than anyone else, even though NY Society seems to want you more. Which makes you wonder do we really care about NY Society? Where are my OC women? Alex and Simon need to give each other space and enjoy life without the other, and they try way too hard to get into society. WHY???

Are we grown ups yet? Yesterday, was St. Patrick's day, and if I think back when I was in my 20's this was one of those holidays you celebrated! Along with the 5th of May ( cinco demayo day), because it revolved around drinks, fun, hats and sometimes beads.
Last year, I was in Savannah, GA with my mom, sister and neice, so much fun. I called my husband a few times drunk!! The year before, worked nothing to report there, 3 years ago, we were in Chicago on our honeymoon and celebrated along with everyone in Chicago.
5 years ago, Thomas was living in Austin TX and I picked this week to travel to see him, so another St. Patrick's day in a fun city who really go all out to celebrate.
Yesterday, we went to Trade Winds in Rockland for 90 minute presentation on Time Shares, we will admit they got us in the door because of the "4 complimentary airline tickets". We would love to do this program and still might, but should let you know, now that we have our tickets and I am trying to plan to use them, read the fine print... NOT EVERY CITY IS INCLUDED AND YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM HOTEL STAY...
So really what is complimentary about these? They want you to use their hotels, but the tickets we were going to use to visit family in the midwest.
So, we may have wasted 90 minutes of our time, which we had to drive 1.15 minutes to get to, and the way gas prices are was it worth it to spend St. Patrick's day like adults?

FOX News’ Jeff Goldblatt contributed to this report
"Barack Obama’s longtime pastor once questioned America’s role in the spread of the AIDS virus and suggested that the United States bore some responsibility for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
Confronted with the content of some of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr.’s sermons, parts of which have been aired this week on FOX News, the Obama campaign continues to pull away from the pastor’s rhetoric, but is stopping short of a full repudiation.
Wright has retired as leader of Trinity United Church in Chicago; he delivered his last sermon there in February. Obama has attended the church for 20 years and calls Wright his spiritual adviser.
Wright’s supporters say his Afro-centric sermons accurately portray black America and contend his sermons are widely studied by theologians. But critics are now calling attention to some of his words from the pulpit.
In DVD copies of his sermons available for purchase, Wright can be seen questioning America’s role in the spreading of the HIV virus that leads to AIDS. In another speech, made in the days after 9/11, he suggested that American foreign policy invited the terror attacks.
“We bombed Hiroshima. We bombed Nagasaki. And we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon and we never batted an eye,” Wright said.
“We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because of stuff we have done overseas is now brought back into our own backyard. America is chickens coming home to roost.”
The pastor also said: “The government lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color. The government lied.”
Late Thursday, the Obama campaign said it has distanced itself from certain comments made by the pastor. But it did not fully repudiate Wright himself — as some critics have called for.
“Senator Obama has said before that he profoundly disagrees with some of the statements and positions of Reverend Wright, who has preached his last sermon as pastor at the church,” Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said. “Senator Obama deplores divisive statements whether they come from his supporters, the supporters of his opponent, talk radio, or anywhere else.”
Last year, Obama rescinded an invitation to Wright to deliver the invocation at his presidential announcement. He also issued a statement saying personal attacks have no place in politics after Wright delivered an attack on Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton.
But Obama’s longtime relationship with Wright is continuing to spark controversy.
“This is not just someone that Barack Obama has a casual relationship with,” said Tom Bevan, executive editor of RealClearPolitics.com. He noted that Wright married Barack and Michelle Obama, and Wright’s words were the inspiration for the title of Obama’s book, “The Audacity of Hope.”
“Barack Obama has not out and out distanced himself from all of these comments … ,” said Patricia Murphy, editor of CitizenJanePolitics.com. “It’s unclear if he rejects all of these statements. I would assume that he does, but I think he is going to be pushed where he needs to come out and fully explain his relationship with his pastor.”
Some of Wright’s statements have raised eyebrows at a time the Internal Revenue Service is scrutinizing tax-exempt religious organizations for alleged violations of rules barring them from participating in political campaigns.
Prior to his retirement last month, Wright delivered commentary from the pulpit in which he praised Obama, as well as remarks focusing on the racial divide between Obama and Clinton.
“There is a man here who can take this country in a new direction,” Wright said during his Jan. 13 sermon.
During a Christmas sermon, Wright tried to compare Obama’s upbringing to Jesus at the hands of the Romans.
“Barack knows what it means living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people,” Wright said. “Hillary would never know that.
“Hillary ain’t never been called a nigger. Hillary has never had a people defined as a non-person.”
In a Jan. 13 sermon, Wright said:
“Hillary is married to Bill, and Bill has been good to us. No he ain’t! Bill did us, just like he did Monica Lewinsky. He was riding dirty.”
So far the Clinton campaign has been quiet over Wright’s comments.
Wright has declined interview requests from FOX News.

A reality check I forgot yesterday.
The 2nd episode of High School Reunion - I love this show, the girl I could not remember last time is the Spoiled Girl, well her love Sean the Millionaire showed up to the reunion. She wants him back, but can she prove it to him? It seems these two have some issues, and I am not sure a reality show will help them.
I was on the webpage for this show, and to describe myself, I always thought of myself as and outsider in High School, and even going to my 25th reunion, I felt that way. Why can people you barely talk to still affect you 25 years later? When Glenn showed up on the show to confront Jason, Jason seemed amazed at what he had done 20 years ago affected this guy to this day. You could tell Jason felt remorse for causing so much pain to this man, and I am hoping they will be friends now. They live so close to each other and actually have a lot in common, it would be nice to see something come out of this show.
The show at the end of course, had Drama and not just from Lana, Steve the backstabber showed up, it was interesting to see Matt and Jason take it so personal and side with Mike, are these guys friends away from the reunion? It did sound like that since Lana had the inside tract on Matt's marriage and the death of his wife.
I love this show, and feel this people are real compared to others on reality tv.

I saw this on the Fox News Websight and had to post it.
EXCUSE ME!! YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO BE SLEEPING IN CLASS. I think the teacher was correct, and feel bad that CT is such a lawsuit people that when Melissa Nadeau was doing her job, and some kid was again not doing his, she gets the blame and now a lawsuit. Get over yourselves.
His parents should be so proud of their son, for sleeping in class, and then teaching him how it is so not his own fault. Good Parenting!
"DANBURY, Conn. — A 15-year-old Connecticut high school student who fell asleep in class says he suffered substantial hearing loss when his math teacher smacked her palm down on his desk to wake him up while she was teaching.
Now his parents are planning to sue Danbury High School, the Connecticut Board of Education and the city of Danbury on his behalf.
Vinicios Robacher's father, Soel Robacher, claims that his sleepy son's left ear was resting on his desk on Dec. 4 when math teacher Melissa Nadeau slammed her hand down so hard that his eardrum burst. Robacher says his son experienced an almost complete loss of hearing.
Since then, though some of his hearing has been restored, the boy has been through extensive medical treatments with ear, nose and throat specialists and could require surgery to fully rectify the damage, according to documents obtained by FOXNews.com.
The Robachers' lawyer said the complaint filed with the city last month isn't a lawsuit but a warning that a claim is being investigated and a suit could follow.
"We don't have all the facts," said attorney Alan Barry of Alan Barry & Associates. "The facts that we don't have are a complete analysis of the medical condition. There is no question in our mind about what happened and the damage to this child's hearing."
Barry said he wants to know Nadeau's teaching history and is prepared to fight to gain access to her personnel records.
Danbury High School Principal Catherine Richard and Nadeau weren't available for comment, and all media inquiries were referred to schools Superintendent Sal Pascarella, who didn't immediately return calls.
Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton said he wasn't qualified to speak about the matter because, under Connecticut law, it is solely under the jurisdiction of the Board of Education.
"I don't have any knowledge of it. I don't have any comment," Boughton said. "It's really up to the Board of Ed to handle."
The Robachers declined requests for an interview, referring all questions to their lawyer. To date, they have refused to allow their son to speak to the press.
Barry said the boy's ear hurt instantly after Nadeau hit his desk.
"He woke up and immediately felt pain in his ear," Barry said. "I think he was so taken aback that he didn't say anything at the time."
The next day, Vinicios' parents took him to the hospital after he complained of hearing loss and they discovered a bloody fluid on his pillow.
Not surprisingly, the case has drawn its share of ridicule and bad publicity, and the Robachers' lawyer said students have been teasing Vinicios at school. Though the parents are undeterred in their aim to pursue the matter legally, they're considering transferring their son to a private school, Barry said.
"There has been a certain amount of negative backlash for making this claim," he said. "I fully expected it and I really understand that. What's a little bit disturbing is the fact that nobody's saying if you fall asleep in class, it's OK for your hearing to be damaged."
Barry filed the documents with the Danbury City Clerk on Feb. 25.
He said he is getting no compensation for representing the Robachers and will get paid only if a lawsuit is filed and won. He'll get one-third of the amount of a settlement or damages, he said"

He'll get one-third of the amount of a settlement or damages, he said"
I have been thinking of my past these last couple of days. The reason is on Saturday night, my husband and I met up with my old friend John. What I mean by Old, John was the boy next door ( really down the street) from me growing up. We dated when I was 15 and he was 17, and we had been friends for years. We had a falling out about 6 years ago, over another friend and John's wife.
When he dropped me as a friend, I was devastated, and clung to our mutual friend, because it seemed we were kicked off the island together. So, my husband had heard me talk about John but had never met him. So, we met up at the "Harp and Dragon' Irish pub in Norwich,CT along with John's wife Sarah. My husband and John got along wonderful, they are both smart men, and get each others humor. Sarah and I were fine, we basically kept it very superficial nothing really deep, and the mention of Tom ( mutual friend) or as Tom now refers to himself the anti-Christ was not allowed. Over the last 6 years, Tom and myself have become very close, and alot of my stories involve him,so there were points of silence.
As, we left the bar, my husband's take on the situation was different, he thinks that maybe Tom and I acted as if, we voted John off the island since we had a secret from him, and when he found out he was hurt and lashed out. Is that the case? Isn't it funny how you look at situations differently? Every story has 2 sides this one has about 4 different sides. The problem is I love both of these men, we have all been friends for so long, and have gone through so much together, not really being together stinks.
Did we vote John off or the other way around? He was hurt because I kept quiet, but for me, I did not want to hurt him, and when Sarah called me for advise, I told her if she was done doing whatever with Tom, and really regretted it, keep quiet so John does not get hurt, instead she turned it around as if Tom and I wanted each of them and that is why we worked together. Another lie of hers, was the night of her bachlorette party, Tom and I went to dinner at "La Vie and Rose" in New London, (CLOSED NOW) and got a bit toasty on wine and after dinner drinks, then we went to Mohegan Sun to see "Sugardaddy" play, had more drinks pretty much we were DRUNK. We danced, laughed and gambled. Well, I guess Sarah and her girlfriends were there, and went home and told John and his guy friends that we saw them and ran away because it was uncomfortable for us. We never saw them, get over yourself we were never that uncomfortable seeing you.
According to John, they saw Tom in Ocean State Job Lot and he ran away, was weaving in/out of the aisle to avoid them. I talked to Tom, he never saw them he weaves in/out of the aisles looking for deals. So who do I believe? I am trying to stay out of it, but I don't want to give up either friendship. So, now I am retro spectating on my life and people that have come and gone through it. When you reach a certain age, you wonder was it my fault these friendships didn't last, or was it mutual because they were superficial and the real ones have stayed on?
Think for a minute, your grammar school, are you friends with anyone from that time? Jr. High, High School, College, your first job out of college? Etc? Who has always been there? Who can you call today if you were truly in trouble and get help from?
I have connected with old friends through the years and we see each other once or twice, but then nothing. I believe it is mutual.

Reality Check time:
Big Brother 9 - James was evicted and then was brought back into the house. I think that stinks, that we all got to vote but then the Houseguests could vote, I would really have wanted Alex or Parker back in playing as singles. Jen and Allison need to get over themselves. I can not stand Sheila, she needs to go along with Matt. I think this group fights even more than Evil Dick from last season, at least his was to get into your head, these people just fight out in the open, they should of learned from Evil.
Top Chef 4: Yeah, my girl Stephanie from Stamford, CT pulled it out in front of Anthony Bourdain ( obnoxious) and Roscco DiSpirito as the guest judges. Is Roscco that cute in person, for some reason for all his faults and ego we saw on The Restaurant he is still cute and interesting to watch. I think I am going to like this season very much.
American Idol : David Hernandez left this week, is that because he worked in a strip club a few years back, or because he deserved to go? He never impressed me much anyway, I like Amanda Overmyer, she reminds me of Dilana from Rock Star, her voice is amazing and her look is not so cookie cutter, I can not wait to see how far she gets. Where is Dilana now? I know she was working on a CD.
I did not watch alot this week, next week on Monday, all my shows are "NEW", I am so excited to finally watch new shows. Thankfully the Writers Strike is over.

This weekend, a few people asked me who was I voting for in the Presidential Election? Now, unless you live under a rock, or have no TV or radio there is a Presidential Election coming up in November 2008. The candidates for the Democratic Nomination are Hilary Clinton or Obama Barak, and the Republican Nomination is going to John McCain.
The big question is who will get the democratic nomination? Neither candidate at this point has enough delegates to put them in front, it seems to me eventually there will be a backdoor meeting and they will decide who will be the Nomination and the other one, will either step down to the VP spot or out of the race, with the words of every politician this happens to "My full support goes to ______, and can not wait for the November Election". Instead of saying, my party stabbed me in the back and now I have to wait another 4 years to try again.
I should state, I am a registered Republican and have been since I was 18 years old and was so excited to vote in my first election. My parents brought politics into our home, my mom was president of the Republican Town Committee in our hometown, my Stepfather was on the City Council for years, and my uncle was on every board in our hometown.
I worked many Republican Elections for Governor, Senators, Congressmen and of course, Presidential Candidates. Unfortunately, alot of these were losing elections, which can be discouraging but knowing you made your best effort, I still enjoyed and thrived in that environment.
So, now who am I going to vote for? To be honest my husband might of made up his mind, but I am still on the fence, I can not decide who I want to believe more, and if I believe in the same things. I have not made of my mind and have no idea when I will, I do truly believe it is going to get more interesting in the Democrat Camp, to see who gets the nomination, and who can out last the other person.

Today, is my 3rd Wedding Anniversary. I can not believe it has been 3 years, I can still see our beautiful Wedding, the snow, our friends and family. I loved our wedding. I love my husband so much, it seems everyday I fall in love all over again.
This weekend we went to The Norwich Inn and Spa, where we were married, and we spent the night and did spa treatments. I love it there, they treat you so well, it was great, from the Front Desk Clerk who checked us in, to my friend Melanie who booked everything for us, Tim the Director of Front Desk, and Nick the English Bellmen. It was incredible. We met up with friends on Sunday night and went to Mohegan Sun at the Summer Shack.
At the bar, awful service, and one waiter told us we need to move out of his way. Excuse me!! We are all in the Hospitality Business, get over yourself. We moved to a table, service was better but slow. I was disappointed but due to being with friends, made the experience better, because we were there for each other not for the surly wait staff.
We then went to Dubliners Pub, we were the only guests and it was great. The waitress was having fun along with us. We celebrated this anniversary with friends and family and throughly enjoyed ourselves. It is my mom's birthday today also, and she is at Sanibel Island Resort, I have sent her a bottle of wine to celebrate and let her know I was thinking of her.
March 11 is a GREAT DAY!!

Reality Check TIME:
Big Brother 9: Expect the Unexpected, I can not wait to see what happens next. Now, they are each playing seperately, so it will be interesting to see if the alliance formed while couples will stay put or being broken. Not a surprise that Allison who manipulated to get Jen out of the house so she could make her move on Ryan is OUT!! I actually cheered at the TV, it was the right thing to do. Matt is smart to not want a relationship with Natalie in the house, 1. it would affect the game and 2. it is a fish bowl how real could it really be? I voted today to get Parker back in the house, Alex and Parker both deserve to come back, due to it was their partners fault they were evicted. Even though if Amanda came back, Drama would unfold more so, I think the 2 guys deserve a chance, so VOTE Today.
I can not wait to see who Ryan will put on the block since he is HOH, personally, I think Sheila and James need to go up, for the drama and backstabbing of it. Sheila because all she does is whine, and James just for fun.
Project Runway 4: Christian the 21 year old with the ego WON. Now, I was routing for Jillian up until the Finale, but he really deserved it, he pulled it out. He is a very talented person, and at the end when he started to cry you realized he really is just a kid, with a huge dream, and little insecure which makes him human. I am sure we will hear from all 3 in the coming years, but he worked really hard for this and deserved everything that came with it. YEAH!! I would not have wanted to be a judge last night, Rami, Jillian and Christian are all very talented. Victoria Beckham looked beautiful as always.
High School Reunion ( FAMILY NETWORK): This is a show about 20 years after the fact putting together in a house: The Bully, The Jock, The Pipsquick, The Stud,The Rebel, The Most Popular Girl, Drama Queen, Girl Next door, the Lesbian, the OUtsider Girl and the Scholar Girl. Class of 1987, The Jock (Matt)love him, his wife passed away November 2006, and he is just getting over it, The Girl Next Door ( Yvette) is a Single mom, who just wants to get to know Matt more, she is so sweet, and really does seem to be really the nice girl next door.
Drama Queen ( Lana) and the Rebel (mike) were married for 13 years, until she slept with the Backstabber ( Steve) who is not in the house yet, but it seems to be coming to that in the previews. I guess Steve and Mike were best friends until this happened, now she does not understand why Mike wants nothing to do with her. They have been divorced since 2002, get over it, you can not have everyone as your friend.
Besides Matt and Yvette, it will be interesting to see The Lesbian (Kat) and the Stud on their date. Does he know Kat is gay? or is she really Bi-sexual? Also, the Pipsquick (Justin) and the most popular girl (Donna) had the first date, and it looked like she wanted Justin and was a bit offended when he did not try to kiss her. Since, I just had my 25th class reunion last June and the drama that happened and that was only 1 night. This will be quite interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks.
Real Housewives of New York City: Do they exist really? Loved Bethany, she was down to earth and real, especially when Countess Luann felt she should introduce her to the Limo Driver, get over yourself you are from CT, and were lucky enough to marry a Count, you aren't royalty except by marriage. Alex and Simon have not figured out quite yet. Ramona and Jill are 2 b*****, and can not decide what they are to each other, and to take something from Carrie Bradshaw, I think they are more Fremenies, both for some reason need to compete against each other. They are really not friends.
I will be interested to see where this show goes, these women do not seem to be as much fun or like each other as much as the OC women.

I saw this on the Fox News Webpage today, and if it is true, I am very sad. In 1987 when "Dirty Dancing" was in the movie theatres I was in London, England and missing my home so much. For some reason, I connected to this movie, I saw it 15x alone in England and another 100x on Video.
When I moved to North Carolina, I went looking for the resort it was filmed at, and when I found it, I was so excited. Now, I work in Maine and one of our function spaces reminds me of Dirty Dancing, I do not always say that to clients due to some people are not fans of the weather.
My heart goes out to his family and hope the rumors are not true.
"Dirty Dancing" star Patrick Swayze was diagnosed in late January with pancreatic cancer that has spread to other organs and he has five weeks left to live, according to the National Enquirer.
For the past month, Patrick, 55, has been traveling to Stanford University's prestigious cancer center in Palo Alto for radical chemotherapy, but his doctors no longer are optimistic that the treatments will be successful, the Enquirer says.
FOXNews.com's calls to Swayze's reps were not immediately returned. But a "very good source" reportedly told blogger Perez Hilton that Swayze has seemed fine lately.
"Patrick has been at rehearsals for a new cheerleading movie at Century City studio frequently lately, and he definitely does not look like he has 5 more weeks of life left…i'm not sure of his medical condition(s), but if he is gravely ill, he is hiding it very well," the source wrote.
According to the Enquirer, Patrick and his wife, Lisa Niemi — who both have pilot's licenses — have been flying their private Beechcraft plane into Palo Alto's airport, minutes from the Stanford Cancer Center, where the actor reportedly has received outpatient treatment.
He received three doses of chemotherapy and the tumor shrank, but less than his doctors had hoped for — and Patrick was told he should prepare for the worst, the Enquirer reports.
"He was told he could have two more treatments, but his cancer was not responding. In short — they held out little hope for a cure," an insider reportedly said.

The "Ghost" actor has lost more than 20 pounds in the past few weeks and is restricted to a liquid diet because he has trouble keeping down solid food, the insider reportedly added."

As the world of Dungeons & Dragons players, are in mourning, my husband being one, I just wanted to put this clip up from the Fox news Channel. Sorry for the loss.
Fox News Reports:
"MILWAUKEE, Wis. — A co-creator of the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game has died.
Gary Gygax died Tuesday morning at his home in Lake Geneva, Wis. His wife Gail says the 69-year-old had been suffering from health problems for several years.
Gygax and Dave Arneson developed Dungeons & Dragons in 1974 using medieval characters and mythical creatures. The game known for its oddly shaped dice eventually was turned into video games, books and movies.
It is considered the grandfather of fantasy role-playing games and has inspired legions of adoring fans. Gygax's wife says he always enjoyed hearing from them.

Yesterday morning, I went in for a Root Canal, let me just say, I do not like going to the dentist, and will avoid at any cost. Well, it cost me, not just money but the whole experience.
My dentist is wonderful, and gentle, the worse part for me was the Novacane, I hate, despise and am very afraid of needles. I am sorry, to me that needle looks like the biggest thing in the world, and he does it slowly to make sure it is numb. Which worked besides the smell and sound of the drill I was in no other pain other than that. I think he was worried if I was jumpy and in so much pain from the Novacane, how is she actually going to handle the actual work?
He was pleasantly surprised, I was fine after that, the worse part is keeping my mouth open for 90 minutes, with all the stuff in it, the frame, that green masky thing and the protective glasses, as if, I was back in 8th grade chemistry class. I admit seeing the propane can, and hearing the sound of it scared me a bit. I kept my eyes closed, and just concentrated on the tv, yes there is tv on the ceiling and I had the Fox News station on, which even though the news was not good it did comfort me in a way.
I have to go back in 8 weeks for a crown, see if you take care of your teeth then you do not have to go through all of this, to keep them in good shape. How funny am I? I am vain about my hair and make up but due to my dislike for going to the dentist I neglect a very important part of myself. I love to see people with good teeth, you would think it would motivate me. I am going to start the cleaning process after the crown and then getting whiting, I love white teeth. My mom, spent $1,200 on braces for me in 8th grade, you think I would be respectful more of my teeth.
Luckily, I have found a dentist who is wonderful and gentle, and my toothache I have lived with for over 2 years is gone!!! A smile may not cost anything, but to keep it up, does and the more you neglect it the more money goes into fixing it, and the discomfort is it worth it?

I love to see people with good teeth, you would think it would motivate me. I am going to start the cleaning process after the crown and then getting whiting, I love white teeth. My mom, spent $1,200 on braces for me in 8th grade, you think I would be respectful more of my teeth.
Luckily, I have found a dentist who is wonderful and gentle, and my toothache I have lived with for over 2 years is gone!!! A smile may not cost anything, but to keep it up, does and the more you neglect it the more money goes into fixing it, and the discomfort is it worth it?

Cougar-woman? A new phrase that is being said over and over, in the media. Supposely, talking about older single women going after young men. Below is and article from the New London Day, in regards to this question.
If you go by the original orgin, I am a Cougar, my husband (my1st and only marriage) is 5 years my junior. You can not tell because due to good genes, I do not look my age, but it is still the truth. We both waited a long time to get married, I was 40 when we got married, before him, most of my relations was with men at least 5 years younger, I did date a man 10 years and another 15 years younger than myself. Men my age seemed to always have alot of baggage, plus children and and ex-wife. I was a product of divorce, so I knew what it entailed, and did not feel I was the perfect woman to get involved with a man with children, ex-wife I could deal with, but not if children are involved. Selfish, maybe but at least I know my limitations. What do you think a Cougar is?
"What's a cougar-woman?” Barbara Walters asked recently on “The View,” in that Barbara Walters way of hers: part journalist, part socialite with a dirty mind. And thus, the archetype of the cougar — the sexy older woman who seduces younger men — reached the ears of a woman in sensible pumps. Another cultural boundary had been breached.
But don't fret, Barbara; you're not too late. If Mrs. Robinson came first, and Samantha on “Sex and the City” gave hope for broad acceptance, the cougar has now become a full-fledged pop-culture punch line. Last summer, NBC gave us “Age of Love,” a dating show that pitted 20-something “kittens” against 40-something cougars in pursuit of one hot Australian man. (The winner, no surprise, was 25.) In last fall's straight-to-DVD movie “Cougar Club,” Faye Dunaway vamped as the oversexed wife of a college grad's boss-to-be. In an episode of CBS's “How I Met Your Mother,” Neil Patrick Harris seduced Jane Seymour, who had also snarled at younger men in the film “The Wedding Crashers.”
Meanwhile on NBC's “30 Rock,” Tina Fey and Jane Krakowski picked up younger men. (Fey snagged a 20-year-old hottie, so Krakowski, to compete, corralled a teen wearing Heelys.) Most recently, Raquel Welch — who has kind of been a cougar for the past few decades — started to play one on the new CBS sitcom “Welcome to the Captain.”
By now, the cougar has become so ubiquitous — picked apart in Mark J. Penn's recent book “Microtrends,” mercilessly meta-mocked on network TV — that it's due for a reclamation. And sure enough, in self-help circles, a Take Back the Cougar movement is starting to form, complete with product tie-ins and promotional opportunities.
The cougar may be the butt of jokes, after all, but she's also an aspiration, a figure in stark contrast to some less female-friendly cultural trends.
On one hand, we're bombarded with ads for Viagra and Cialis — one current “Viva Viagra” spot features a virile middle-aged guy on a motorbike — which suggest that aging men ought to have as much sex as they physically can.
On the other hand, women are flooded with reminders that they ought to be nesting by now: celebrity pregnancy mania, fertility fear-mongering, anxious exhortations to find a mate already. In the upcoming issue of The Atlantic Monthly, Lori Gottlieb writes “Marry Him: The Case for Settling for Mr. Good Enough,” in which she suggests that 30-something women should give up the dream of true love and hot sex, and instead choose someone reliable to help with diaper changes.
The article, now up online, has set women abuzz. Asha Bandele, a 40-year-old author and poet in Brooklyn, says her friends in their late 20s and early 30s had a recent group dinner, centered on discussing whether Gottlieb is right.
Bandele gives thanks that she's in a different place: a mother, divorced, advanced in her career, and dating a man a decade younger. It's a low-pressure relationship, she says. And compared to some accomplished, jaded men close to her age, a younger guy — awed by her experience — makes her feel good.
“You can go out with someone who's interesting, with a million and one stories,” Bandele says. “But when someone makes you feel that way? That's sexy.”
Bandele considers herself a “real cougar,” a term coined by Linda Franklin, a 60-year-old life coach who runs a Web site aimed at women aging gracefully. In December, Franklin launched an offshoot site called the Real Cougar Club, where cougars can network, celebrate their sexiness, and shed what Franklin calls the “skeevy kind of image.”
In fact, Franklin wants to expand the “cougar” definition altogether. That part about dating younger men isn't essential, she says. A cougar, instead, is “a woman over 40 who is strong and confident and sexy and independent. ... She knows what she wants and she knows how to get it.”
By her standards, Hillary Clinton could be a cougar, too.
A cougar in a pantsuit? Hold on a minute. If we're going to set Barbara Walters straight, we should admit that the whole idea started with sex. So says Valerie Gibson, a Toronto-based sex and relationship columnist who takes credit for spreading the “cougar” label through the United States.
“Cougar,” Gibson says, is a Canadian term, born in the bars of Vancouver and meant to be unkind. But when Gibson heard the insult more than five years ago, she sensed an opening. Fifteen years ago, she had written a book called “The Older Women's Guide,” which gave tips on dating younger men. It never took off: “It was just too soon,” she says.
In 2002, Gibson tried again, with a new book called “Cougar: A Guide for Older Women Dating Younger Men.” Now, she takes credit for spreading the term through the U.S., largely by pushing her tome through the talk-show circuit. (She has explained cougar habits to the eager ears of Dr. Phil and Montel Williams, and also sent a book to Sharon Stone.)
Everyone loves a label, Gibson says, but the “cougar” type has actually existed for centuries. Catherine the Great dabbled in younger men because she could. For a long time, Mrs. Robinson in “The Graduate” was the typical pop culture portrayal: By lusting for younger men, she was doing something wrong, so she had to be an alcoholic.
Then came Demi Moore, who has arguably had more sway on pop culture than any other woman of our time. First, with the help of Vanity Fair, she single-handedly made pregnancy look sexy. Then, with her real-deal relationship with Ashton Kutcher — now her husband, 15 years her junior — she sparked the idea that a cougar could be cool. Before long, magazines were celebrating the prowess of older Hollywood babes, cougar-dating Web sites were cropping up, and E! had come up with a list of “25 Hottest Cougar Tales,” calling out the likes of Barbara Hershey, Susan Sarandon, and Geena Davis.
All are gorgeous in their own right, which is no surprise: Hollywood has long been packed with the agelessly attractive. The cougar, thus described, shares some spiritual ground with the much-older notion of the Mom-I'd-Like-To-(expletive) — epitomized by Stifler's mom in 1999's “American Pie,” or “Stacey's Mom” in the song by Fountains of Wayne. But unlike the M-I-L-T-you know, the cougar has agency. She controls her destiny and picks her dating pool.
And she has little to do with that other vision of stress-free aging, the pert, grandmotherly “Red Hat Society,” which promises wholesome, sexless, depoliticized fun for over-50 women. The group's Web site declares, hopefully, that wearing the right-colored hat “adds an element of fun to aging.”
The cougar is interested in a different kind of fun — the sort that must appeal to a boomer bubble that is moving steadily toward retirement age. Census data predict a 72 percent rise in adults 50 and older between 2000 and 2020 — and not all of those women want to “greet middle age with verve, humor and elan,” as the Red Hat site declares.
Self-defined cougars take their aging seriously. And they consider themselves elite, Gibson says. Gibson — who declines to give her age but allows that she “loved getting 40 and loved getting 50 and so on” — is clearly enjoying herself.
“My last husband was 14 years younger than me,” she says by phone, “and it was the best marriage out of all my five.”

This week, I went on line again, I have done this for the past few years looking for a old friend of mine. I don't mean "old" in the age way, I mean we have known each other since I was 15 years old which means 28 years. We dated when I was 15 and he was 17, he was my first Car date. For the young crowd it means when my parents let me actually go out with a guy in his car and they were not driving me.
I think it was because they knew his parents who lived down the street, and he seemed responsible. He had a Nova, blue a big seat in front not the bucket seats of today. No, I was a good girl so get your mind out of the gutter, it was very innocent and sweet. I remember his birthday, Dec. 16, we went to dinner at Poor Richards in Waterford, no longer there, the building is still there but nothing is housed in it, very sad. It was a great restaurant and building, they served us a bottle of wine, we both had baby faces but the waiter let us get away with it anyway. We then went back to his parents house, not the best idea after some wine from two kids who were not suttle in anyway that we got served.
We ended up breaking up, I dumped him for another man. We always were friends though, he got married and divorced, and always remained friends part of a a four-some. About 5 years ago, we had a major falling out, due to 1 of our four-somes made a play for my friends girlfriend, and I knew about it and kept my mouth shut. There was reason, but he would not believe me, his girlfriend twisted everything around, now his wife. For the last 4 years, every year, I send him a Birthday Card, and both of them a Christmas Card, and in 2005 and invitation to my wedding. I heard nothing, this year on the Christmas card, I wrote, this is the last one because I have been trying to become friends again and you don't even enknowledge these cards.
I found him on www.linkedin", and we emailed each other all day on Wednesday. Come to find out he knew nothing about the cards, he never got them and he had not moved, which means "she" his wife got them and threw them out. I don't know about the Wedding Invitation, but I believe that is what happened to that. I am so hurt, he and I knew each others secrets and we loved each other even for all our faults.
We were better friends then anything else, so the fact his wife felt we should not be together as friends is unimaginable to me, I felt he threw a 20+ friendship away without looking back. We are going to try to get together next week, when my husband and I are in town, he has never even met Stephen. I knew his ex-wife, and she didn't like me anymore than this wife but she put up with me because of John.
If John's new wife lets him come and meet us for a drink I will be suprised, I want to see him, but am not holding my breath. My question when do you give up on a friendship?
